Washington County Attorney’s Office—2017 Annual Report 22 Staff Awards Imran Ali Imran Ali received an “Attorney of the Year” award for 2016 from Minnesota Lawyer magazine at a gala event in Minneapolis in February. Imran received approbation for his sedulous work in our sex trafficking initiative. As typical for Imran, he gave big strokes to all of the cops, paralegals, victim advocates and staff who got to share in Imran’s recognition. Aimee Schroeder Aimee Schroeder has been named “Analyst of the Year” by the Tri- County Investigators Association. Among other things, Aimee’s hard work has led to the rescue of 37 victims of sex trafficking in 2016. Her industriousness, hard work, and commitment to the prime functions of the Major Crimes Unit of this office is to be applauded by all of us. The Tri-County Investigators Association is represented by 135 police agencies in 17 counties across metro Minnesota. Rick Hodsdon On February 4, 2017, in Washington D.C. at the National Sheriff Association Winter Conference Rick Hodsdon and several other attorneys from around the country were awarded the President’s Award. Rick was given the award in recognition of his many contributions nationally to the office of sheriff and in particular for the work the legal time did on its Supreme Court in the Kinsley case, which since its issuance has become the landmark case of use of force in jails.
